“Destiny is not a matter of chance but it is a matter a choice” William Jennings
One for sure thing we all have to deal with in life is our choices. We are presented with all types of choices every single day. Every choice we decided to make rather, it is a good choice or bad choices comes with a result, a consequence. We all want to make good choices in life we all want to fulfill our destiny. No one wants to make a bad choice that will ruin their entire life however, bad choices are made when we don’t use wisdom in that particular area in our life. Wisdom is knowing and doing! It’s not just understanding a situation, it’s seeing the pros and cons, understanding the ultimate consequence and then using all of what you understand to make a wise choice. Wisdom is something that must be pursued, and is learned. To make good choices in life we must have wisdom!
Let’s see it In the scriptures from our study! (The Word/ Bible)
Your destiny is in God. We are all created with a purpose. God has a plan for each of our lives, But it is the choices we make that determines rather we get there or how long it takes us to get there. Consider the children of Israels journey in the wilderness or the choice that was presented to Adam and Eve. We too are presented with choices as well.
Proverbs gives us a vivid picture of the benefits of using wisdom. It shows us that when we have wisdom, we make better choices. (Proverbs 3:18) It also urges us and compels us to search for wisdom and seek wisdom intensely. It is so priceless, more valuable than silver, rubies and gold.
Why do you think that is?
I believe it is because wisdom will cause us to make better choices, choices that leads to health, happiness, joy, the paths of righteous and ultimately our destinies in Christ. (Proverbs 3:13,17,18). We can not be deceived, or turned away when we have wisdom, It makes us sharp. and the scripture says understanding will keep us and guard us.(Proverbs 2:11 )
If you seek wisdom as silver, and search for her as for hidden treasures; Then you will understand the fear of the Lord, and find the knowledge of God. (Proverbs 2:4-5)
We all need wisdom in different areas in our life. It could be in your marriage, maybe with your children, with family issues, in ministry, in dealing with hurt, stress etc.
So my encouragement to you is if you know you need wisdom, You’re not happy with some of the choices you have made,or maybe you just want to fulfill your destiny in Christ, simply seek wisdom from the lord. Search the scriptures on those specific issues you’re having in your life. If you struggle with Anger search the scriptures. Find out what God say’s about it, and how to overcome it. Look for books filled with scriptures about anger and testimonies of believers who has struggled with anger. Study the word, pray, pray, pray, and don’t stop praying! Make sure that everything you study lines up with scripture.
