Dealing with Haters!!
“Haters will see you walk on water and say it is because you can’t swim”
Unfortunately we all will eventually have to deal with or have dealt with haters, people who always has something negative to say about us. No matter who you are or where you come from there is always somebody who’s not going to like you. Even Jesus Christ our lord and savior had haters! I must admit it’s not easy dealing with negative, critical and Judgmental people, and the comments sometime really do hurt. but we don’t have to succumb to the hate. I was inspired to write 6 Things To Remember When Dealing With these type of people in our lives so that we can mentally put haters in biblical perspective. These tips are based on my own experiences, testimonies and the word of God, so I know this will encourage you.
6 Things To Remember When Dealing With Haters!
1. Haters Are A Form Of Opposition!
Never let the haters get you down. View your haters as opposition or something you must conquer and overcome. On your way to greatness and on your path to your destiny, you are going to face opposition. Opposition is People and things that will try to stand in the way of what God is doing in your life. Every great leader in the bible faced some type of opposition. On their way to where God was leading them they encountered struggles, discouragement and tribulation. The enemies goal in using haters is to discourage us, to make us doubt ourselves, the visions and callings God has given us. He wants to steal our confidence, inspiration and motivation but the scriptures give us the right perspective to persevere past the hate which brings me to number 2 …. John 10:10 1 Peter 5:8
2. Do You No Matter What The Haters Say!
You just have to do you!! Stay Focus and Keep Striving! All things are possible with christ. Don’t allow anyone to get in the way of what you’re doing. Matthew 19:26 John 16:33 Philippians 4:8
3. Everybody Has Haters
You’re not alone. We all have encountered people that are just negative. It happens to the best of us, even Jesus had haters. He was the greatest man ever lived. He was traveling all over healing all that were sick performing miracles, casting out demons and setting those who were captive free. Jesus did amazing things on earth while he was here and still the religious leaders of his time had something negative to say about him. They couldn’t stand him or the work that he was doing. So always Remember you not the only one being hated on and if you haven’t met any of your haters yet prepare, “gird up thy loins” because they will come! Mark 2 2 Timothy 3:12
4. Ignore The Hate
Just ignore it, don’t retaliate, just chill, remain humble and keep doing you! The scripture say’s don’t repay evil for evil, it’s not worth it. Jesus warns his disciple in mark 12 to shake off the haters. All the people who won’t receive you, support you, encourage you, shake them off and keep on moving forward. Moving forward with the right attitude and a pure heart which brings forgiveness, grace and mercy, you can’t move forward with a chip on your shoulder. You have to pray about it and let it go. 1 Peter 3:9
5. Pray About Your Haters
It’s not easy to become immune to hurtful words or not allow them to get to us and discourage us ( Infact we never will become immune) Harsh words Do Hurt! but it’s not about becoming immune necessarily, but rather giving the things that hurt us to Christ allowing him to strengthen and heal our broken hearts and keep our head lifted high in the process. Were only humans and our feelings do get hurt. However, Christ is our high priest and knows everything we go through and has felt our hurt. If this is really a struggle for you then you have t0 bring your pain, your anger, your hurt, your embarrassment, to the altar. Pray for God to heal your broken heart and give you the strength to forgive, let it go and truly move forward. I believe that God will not only help you do that but, he
will even give you the strength to take it the next step forward which is number 6…… 1 Peter 5:7 Hebrews 4:14-16 Proverbs 15:4
6. Respond To The Haters With Love
The bible says we overcome evil with good. Many of us don’t fully understand the power of this scripture because we haven’t applied it to our life! Its seems difficult but, we have to love our enemies, and I just like to say Just Be Nice! Matthew 4:44 Romans 12:21
