Ladies we are nest builders! I remember a time in my life when God was dealing with me a lot about building my house and building a nest for my children. Proverbs 14:1 Talks about how a wise woman builds her house but foolish woman tears it down with her own hands. Building our house may look different for each one of us, nevertheless we are the builders. When I personally think about building a house, I imagine it first having a strong Foundation. A strong foundation to me looks like family values, morals, our faith, what we as a family stand on. Then I imagine the atmosphere of the home, the environment, and what we surround ourselves with. Lastly I think about the individuals in the home our character, who we are. I want to share with you how I strive to build my home and the things that I like to do to strengthen it.
1.Create an atmosphere of unity, love, acceptance and encouragement, although it’s difficult to get these kids on the same page and finally put a end to the sibling rivalry forever. It is my goal to make sure they stick together love each other be there for one another, and treat each other with kindness and respect. We are striving to be more encouraging and motivating rather them critical of one another.
2.I share my beliefs with my children to build up thier character. I talk to them about Christ, faith, their future, college, marriage and life in general. Even at a young ages I talk about it in a way they can understand. I do my best to teach them right from wrong according to the word of God and live by example, a life that glorifies God.
3.I like to make home a comfy place to relax, chill and enjoy for everyone. I like to decorate each room to make it feel inviting. I also love to customize my kids bedroom and give them a little space of their own filled with things they enjoy. Ultimately I want my family to look forward to coming home. So I try to create a space they will enjoy. We also like to have family movie night and game night to just enjoy each other’s company.
These are the thing i am constantly tweecking to build a strong household.
