Everyone gets discourage at times, you are not alone in what you are going threw. But no matter what we face in life there is joy in Christ Jesus. Although there are many different things that brings us joy when were are feeling down. I came up with 5 things we can intentionally do when you feel discouraged that will uplift our spirit.
1. Understand God’s grace.
There is nothing more comforting than knowing that your God is on your side. When you fail he will be there to pick you up again. He is the god who loves us pass our failures and mistakes. We are unworthy, but his grace is sufficient for us. We can get back up and hold our heads up high because of his grace and mercy. That alone is enough to bring you Joy.
2.Be grateful and thankful to God
Thank God for everything he’s doing in your life. Truly your situation can be much
worse. God is blessing us every day. So be thankful for the small things. Take time as often as you can to look around and see the blessings of the lord.
3. Forgive the people who have hurt you.
Let go of past pain and move forward. Harboring past hurt offenses and pain in your heart will only continue to steal from you. Forgiveness is not always easy but necessary for your joy. You will be surprise how much being anger, bitter and resentful will steal your joy and make you miserable. So do whatever it takes to forgive.
4.Get rid of negativity
Negative thoughts, people, circumstances, complaining etc. Stay far away from negative things that bring u down and put you in a bad mood. It’s not worth it. Surround yourself with positivity.
5.Fulfill your purpose.
Do what God is calling you to do. If you don’t know what that is find out. In the meantime do what you know is right to do.Get your mind off your current situation and do the lord’s will. Our ultimate Joy is in Jesus Christ and in our relationship with him. Serving him comes with so my blessings.
